Food and design meet in this curious exhibition
From 9 March 2017 you can enjoy the Tapas, Spanish Design for Food at the Barcelona Design Museum. This exhibition has travelled the world for three years across cities like Tokyo, Miami and Washington before coming to the Barcelona Design Museum.
This exhibition focuses on design and gastronomy over the past 25 years, but above all on the Catalan traditions and Spanish design. You can see more than 250 exhibited pieces, such as utensils, furniture, dishes, videos, photos and more...
The exhibit it divided into three subjects:
- The Kitchen
- The Table
- The Food
Animations
You can also attend chats with chefs and designers in order to understand the similarities and differences between cooking and design. On 25 April it will be with Javier Bonet and Martí Guixé. On Tuesday, 2 May with world famous chef Ferran Adrià and Luki Huber. And on Tuesday, 11 May with Jordi Roca and Carulla Andreu. These three talks will take place at 7:00 PM at the Auditorium of the Design Museum.
During the exhibition there will be various activities in parallel to the event, including shows.
