The Chocolate Museum is a dynamically driven facility from the Confectionery Guild of Barcelona, located in the former convent of Sant Agustí. It features a tour of the origins of chocolate, its arrival to Europe, the dissemination between myths and realities, and interesting information on the medicinal and nutritional value.
The mission of the Chocolate Museum is to provide the community with easily accessible knowledge about the history of the product, and to recognise the culture and values of Catalan artisanal baking through an acquisition and collection of different materials about the heritage of the artistic tradition of chocolate.
