The following areas make up central Barcelona:

- El Born, this is a very fashionable area offering a wide range of bars, restaurants and boutiques. - Eixample, a central and well connected area where Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces can be found: the Sagrada Familia, the Pedrera and the Casa Batló. Aside from these important cultural aspects (for which Barcelona is so famous) there is a strong commercial side to the area, with a public market, good shopping and many excellent bars and restaurants.
