TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Best prices guaranteed or we´ll refund twice the difference

    Home Online Spain S.L. will refund on valid claims twice the difference between the advertised rate on Barcelonacheckin.com and the other available rate subject to the following conditions:

    1. Book your apartment with BarcelonaCheckIn
    2. Any claims for refunds must be made in writing within 24 hours of booking on BarcelonaCheckIn.com and by means of an email addressed to info@BarcelonaCheckIn.com. Claims must include the following information: booking reference number, arrival date, name of other website, and price quoted.
    3. Home Online Spain S.L. must be able to verify that the alternative rate is both available and bookable online. (We will do our best to answer you within three working days).
    4. Claims for refunds must be based on a comparison of the same apartment and for the same number of people.
    5. The maximum amount refunded shall not exceed the total value of the prepayed booking made in Home Online Spain S.L.

    On verifying these conditions, Home Online Spain S.L. will refund you immediately, in the same currency and payment method as the booking made, the half part of the money to be refunded. The other part will be discounted of the amount to be paid the day you will check in.

  2. Cleaning

    All apartments are fully cleaned before your arrival. They have towels and clean bedlinen.

  3. Current costs

    All local taxes, fees and other possible extra costs as cleaning are included in the price. There are no additional charges for gas, electricity, water.

  4. Arrival and Departure

    On the arrival day the owner or contact person will be waiting for you at the apartment to welcome and show you the details of the apartment and give you the keys. Chek-in will be after 16:00 h. to make sure that there is enough time to leave the aparment in perfect conditions for you. You will sign a short-term tenancy contract with the owner and pay for the remaining amount in cash. Don’t forget to bring a copy (or original) of your passport or identity card. Check out should be done before 12:00 h on your departure day.

  5. Guarantee deposit

    The deposit is paid as a guarantee to ensure no damage is done to the accommodation. Home Online Spain S.L. does not collect or return any security deposits. They have to be handed over to the owner or guardian of the apartment on your arrival day, and he or she will return it to you upon your departure. BarcelonaCheckIn is not responsible for any security deposits. We cannot be held liable for the loss of a security deposit for any reason whatsoever, nor can we be held liable in any way due to a dispute arising from a security deposit. In the case where a landlord retains part of or the complete deposit the landlord is advised to hand in a written report on the damages done to justify the retention of the deposit.

  6. Reservation

    The reservations become effective at the time of confirmation of the payment and are credited to the total amount of the rent (23 % of the sum total). You will receive an email indicating the exact address of the apartment, how to get there, and information on the owner. You must verify that all the information in the email is correct and to notify to Home Online Spain S.L. any possible changes within three days. Failure to notify any changes within this period will mean that the client accepts the reservation as stated.

  7. Cancellation

    In case you want to cancel the reservation after the pre-payment, you should contact reserv@barcelonacheckin.com to notify it. Automatically, the following rules are going to be applied: Home Online Spain, S.L. reimburses 100% of the prepayment if informed 76 days or more prior to the beginning of the stay; you will receive 50% of the money you paid if we are informed between 45 and 75 days before the beginning of the stay; and a 0% reimbursment if we are informed within 44 days or less before you begin your stay. Once the tenant has paid the total amount to the owner this is not refundable in any case. In the event that Home Online Spain, S.L. has to modify the initial agreement, the company is committed to offering similar or better accommodation without any additional cost to the client.

  8. House Rules

    The client commits to respect the rules that pertain to the apartment and the community it belongs to. It is very important to respect the neighbours that get up early to work and that is why it is not allowed to use the apartment for celebrating parties in any case. The silent hours to be respected are from 11 pm to 9 am. Should the house rules not be followed, BarcelonaCheckIn has the right to expel the client without any compensation.

  9. Number of guests

    The number of persons who may use the apartment may not exceed the number of persons allocated for each apartment, except for children under two years of age. In the event of any infringement of the aforementioned obligations, Home Online Spain, S.L. at its sole discretion will be entitled to request the client to leave the apartment, and the client shall have no right to claim any type of compensation.

  10. Claims

    In case of claims against the accommodation you have to communicate them immediately to the owner. If the reasons for the claim have not been eliminated within an appropriate period of time it has to be communicated to Online Spain S.L.. Only complaints received by e-mail before the end of the stay will be taken into account. Online Spain S.L. shall not be liable for the breaking of the elevator or for any other inconveniences which are beyond its control, but it shall do its best to remedy any of such inconveniences in a diligent manner. In the event the client leaves the apartment without Online Spain S.L. being informed, the host shall lose all rights to claim a compensation.

  11. Responsibility

    Home Online Spain S.L. shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage that may arise as a consequence of the use by the client of the apartment, including, without limitation, damages, losses because of fires, robbery, criminal behaviour. Home Online Spain S.L. is solely acting as intermediary between the property owner and the client.

  12. Our website

    All the descriptions and information that appear in BarcelonaCheckIn.com are transmitted by the owners of the apartments and checked by Home Online Spain LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY. Our company continuously makes updates of the content of his/her Web page, but it does not take responsibility of any error or omission that could arise on the part of the owner. Home Online Spain S.L. besides has the right to change into any moment information published in the web page as prices, descriptions, photos and their conditions of use.

  13. Safety web online payement

    Home Online Spain S.L takes all the necessary steps to protect your credit card information. The payment page is a fully encrypted page according to the SSL model developed by Microsoft and adopted by all the online vendors. The information that is passed on is undecypherable : Moreover, once the transaction is over, it cannot be retrieved. In fact, Home Online Spain S.L. cannot see at any time the credit card number you introduce in the form. The bank only has access to this information.

  14. Privacy Policy

    Home Online Spain S.L. takes the privacy of its customers' data very seriously, keeping all personal information confidential, as established by the Ley Orgánica 15/December 13th 1999. Home Online Spain S.L. requires you to provide some personal information, but these data may be passed onto a third party ONLY for the purposes of performing the contracted services. Your data shall not be passed onto third parties for marketing purposes.

  15. Applicable laws

    These terms and conditions are interpreted from and conformed to Spanish laws. Barcelona is the single area of jurisdiction agreed on for suits against Home Online Spain S.L.. The client has an obligation to accept these terms and conditions prior to any transaction made with BarcelonaCheckIn. The client is responsible for reading and understanding the terms and conditions before accepting them.
