- What are the advantages of renting a furnished apartment in BarcelonaCheckIn?
For a price lower than that of a hotel room you can enjoy a furnished, stylish apartment in downtown Barcelona. All our apartments are equipped with all the facilities you may need (full kitchen facilities, quality furniture, towels, household furnishings, etc.).
- Are taxes, fees, extra costs and charges included in the price?
All local taxes, fees and other possible extra costs as cleaning are included in the price. There are no additional charges for gas, electricity, water.
- Are the prices per person or per apartment?
The prices are per apartment.
- How to use BarcelonaCheckIn?
First introduce your dates of arrival and departure as well as the number of people. Then click on « search ».
- If you are looking for an apartment with specific characteristics (price, district, etc.) we recommend that you use the « advanced search » section available in the menu.
- Afterwards, select your apartment from the list that our website will have provided you.
- Finally, reserve online the selected apartment by advancing part of the rent price to be paid for. You may do so by credit card or through bank transfer.
- Once the reservation of your apartment has been confirmed online you will receive an email. The exact address of your apartment, its location, and information on the owner will be sent to you in a second mail within the following 2 working days.
- The day of your arrival in Barcelona in order to pick up the keys you will need to do the following:
- To pay remaining balance to the owner in cash.
- Give a deposit that will be reimbursed to you upon your departure ( aprox. 150 Euros ).
- Sign a short-term rent contract which will contain the exact dates of your stay, the full price paid for the rent, and the amount given as deposit. A copy of this contract will be handed over to you written in English.
- Is it possible to lodge with infants in the apartment?
Yes, but not all the lodgings have cots and baby's chairs. If you want to select the apartments according to this parameter we offer you this possibility in the section advanced search of the menu.
- Do we accept pets?
If you wish to know whether pets (only cats and dogs) are accepted, we encourage you to use the « advanced search » section in our menu to meet your needs.
- Which part of the rent will I have to pay online to reserve an apartment?
No, to book your apartment online you will have to make a pre-payment which will amount to part of the rent. Your payment will be verified instantly and in case of being accepted the apartment will be reserved for you.
- How will I know the exact address of the apartment and the information about its owner?
The exact address of the apartment, the additional information of the owner, as well as the description about how to go to the flat will be sent by BarcelonaCheckIn across a booking confirmation email.
- How to pay the remaining part of the rent?
The day of your arrival you will have to give the remaining part of the rent in cash directly to the owner.
- How to receive the keys?
You will receive the keys the day of your arrival to the apartment, on having met the owner.
- What is the deposit for?
The deposit serves to compensate the owner for any damage that the furniture in the apartment may suffer. It will be returned to you upon your departure in exchange for the keys. The deposit amounts to 150 Euros.
- Will I have a short-term accommodation contract?
Yes, you will have to sign a contract with the owner where there will be specified your personal information, those of the owner, the period of your stay, the amount of the rent of your stay, as well as the value of the given deposit.
- Cancellation and reimbursement policy?
The cancellations of reservations must be sent via email to reserv@barcelonacheckin.com. Within 48 hours you will receive a message acknowledging your cancellation as well as details regarding reimbursements according to the following conditions:
- Reimbursement of the 100% in case of a cancellation of one reserves at least 76 days before the beginning of its stay.
- You will receive 50% of the money paid if you cancel your reservation between 46 and 76 days prior to your arrival.
- You will not be reimbursed if you cancel your reservation less than days prior to your arrival.
- Is it dangerous to provide personal credit card information?
We take all the necessary steps to protect your credit card information. The payment page is a fully encrypted page according to the SSL model developed by Microsoft and adopted by all the online vendors. The information that is passed on is undecypherable : Moreover, once the transaction is over, it cannot be retrieved. In fact, BarcelonaCheckIn cannot see at any time the credit card number you introduce in the form. The bank only has access to this information.
