The Most Important Event in Basketball will take place in Barcelona
The first FIBA World Cup in history will take place in Spain for 2014. Up until 2010 it has been known has the FIBA World Championship. It is the most important tournament in Basketball as it puts the best talent from each country in the world on the court to face off and decide who the best team in the world truly is. Matches will take place in Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Bilbao, Gran Canaria and Granada between the 30th August and 14th September.
The FIBA World Cup has been the centre of attention for some of the biggest stars of international basketball, like Oscar Schmidt, Nikos Galis, Pau Gasol, and Kevin Durant, amongst many others.
