The Magical Musical returns to Barcelona

Lovers of musicals are in luck as the tour of Les Miserables stops by in Barcelona as part of its Spanish tour. Last year the play was hosted at the Barcelona Teatre Musical (Palau dels Esports Barcelona), but this time around there will be a change of scenery... and for the better! The legendary Gran Theatre del Liceu will play host to the equally legendary musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, an adaptation of the novel by Victor Hugo.

For those not familiar with the work or movies, it tells the tale of ex-convict Jean Valjean during 19th century France. After breaking his parole and escaping from his nemesis, Inspector Javert, he changes his identity to start a new life. Everything gets turned upside down after deciding to adopt little Cosette after the death of her mother Fantine.

Years pass and Valjean becomes involved in a revolution of students in Paris, one of whom is in love with Cosette...

The musical, which has already spent over 25 years on stage, has been released in a total of 42 countries and translated into 22 languages​​, making it one of the most popular theatre shows in history, seen by more than 65 million viewers. If you're in Barcelona, are you going to miss out?
