Florence and The Machine will perform live in Barcelona this 2016

The band

Florence and The Machine are a group from London formed by Florence Welch, Isabella Summers, Robert Ackroyd, Christopher Lloyd Hayden, Tom Monger, Mark Saunders and Rusty Bradshaw. They perform in the rock and soul genre, inspired by artists like Kate Bush. The group formed in 2007 and have made collaborations with Calvin Harris and Devonté Hynes.

Florence Welch, lead of the group, has a style inspired by her own sound. She's regularly interviewed by publications such Rolling Stone. She certainly doesn't go unnoticed as her musical tours are all spectacles in their own right.

Discography

Their debut album, Lungs, was launched in 2009 and quickly reached number one in the UK charts. From thereon their fame has only increased. Their second album, Ceremonials, came to light in 2011 reaching sixth in the American charts. Lately, their album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful was launched on 1 June 2015 and they achieved a big hit with "The Odyssey".

Tours

During their first tour (Lungs Tour 2009, the group participated in the NME awards, Glastonbury festival, and Nimes Festival supporting artists like Mika. They also made benefit concerts like one for the Teenage Cancer Trust. During their second tour Ceremonial Tours between 2011 and 2014, they achieved huge success in Paris with various concerts at Paris Casino. Their new world tour is the How Big Tour 2016 and will last for more than a year.

So, it's a great pleasure to be able to welcome Florence and The Machine to Barcelona on 16 April 2016 at Palau Sant Jordi. Afterwards, on 17 April they will be heading to Madrid.
