From BARCELONA AIRPORT: Take the RENFE train (line C1) at the "Aeroport" station and get off at "Plaça Catalunya" (4 stops). Then, take the subway (green line-L3) at "Plaça Catalunya" subway station and after 1 stop you should get off at "Liceu". Once there, you can walk to the appartment in 5 minutes with the help of the map we provide you with. Train and subway tickets cost 2'5 Euros per person. A taxi from the airport to the apartment may cost you between 25-30 Euros. From GIRONA AIRPORT: Take the "Sagalés" coach from the airport terminal to Barcelona's coach station "Estació del Nord" (a single ticket costs 11 Euros). From there to the apartment you may take a taxi (around 6 Euros) or go to the subway stop ("Arc de Triomf") you will find nearby. RAVAL DISTRICT. The rough and bawdy Raval is one of Barcelona’s least-known areas, off the tourist track, a cauldron filled with some of the city’s most varied and colourful sites and sociology. Traversed by all manner of spectacle, this area is in constant urban and cultural transformation and its peculiar mixture causes the interest and the admiration of all. The Raval lies to the letf of La Rambla, the most famous street in Barcelona that traverses the old town towards the sea. Lively throughout the day and night -both during summertime and wintertime- the Rambla features lots of unique street performers ranging from surreal human statues and card tricksters to talented artists and musicians. In the up-and-coming Raval district you will find an ever-expanding range of trendy bars and restaurants and some of the most ancient and famous buildings of Barcelona such as the modern art museum (MACBA), the National Library of Catalonia and the Palau Güell, declared by UNESCO in 1984 a world-heritage building.
